I've always wanted a place of my own. This applies to both life on the internet and the real, flesh and blood one. The latter is another story by itself so... Naming my online home "The Unpretentious Kitchen" was never meant to offend anyone's virtual real estate (virtual / real, corny!). It simply represents my current way of life.
Cambridge is home for now as my courageous husband (aka The Boss) left his employer of 15 years to pursue a long-time dream. Me? I am taking a year off work in Singapore to be with him. All our belongings are currently packed up for storage somewhere in rural France. We arrived in the USA only with enough clothes and toiletries to last us till we found a place to call home.
We miss "home". But at the same time, we experience something new nearly everyday. And more importantly, we learn to live simply, minimally and truly. Hence "unpretentious".
